About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Business is looking for an Experienced Global Trade Control Specialist (Level 3) to join our team in Hialeah, FL. The Global Trade Compliance Department is responsible for managing, supporting, and enforcing programs, policies, training, and practices to ensure the company follows federal, state, local, and international regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for supporting some of these programs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of total related work experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with import and/or export regulations
  • 1+ years of experience in supply chain, sales, and/or accounting knowledge in the aerospace industries
  • Experience in creating and delivering training seminars
  • Experience Auditing in Aerospace
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate with all levels of employees
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time - internationally and domestically
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
  • Experience with basic ERP system functionality such as Systems Applications and Processing (SAP)
  • Experience with Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Experience participating in compliance assessment activities supporting global trade controls matters
  • Project Management Experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the review and update of existing policies and procedures for business; create and maintain support materials for Global Trade Compliance.
  • Monitor and review export filings and reports generated by export compliance tools and through audit.
  • Maintain records and drafting reports related to corrective actions.
  • Periodically audit HTS database.
  • Perform audits for global Supply Chain transparency.
  • Audit import entries and procedures, including verification of classification, valuation, country of origin, commercial invoice, documentation, and other government agency requirements; understand and ensure appropriate use of standard trade definitions most commonly used in international sales contracts.
  • Conduct monthly Global Trade Awareness Training.
  • Communicate pertinent product information to internal customers, as well as Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Suppliers and other functional groups.
  • Apply continuous improvement for greater efficiencies and cost savings.
