About The Position

The Global Trade & Customs (GTC) team executes compliance with global export controls, sanctions laws, and regulations. The intern will work closely with GTC, Legal, and program teams to apply international trade laws and regulations in support of international business. The role assists with compliance tasks, documentation and records, research and risk assessments, training materials, and a quarterly compliance audit to be completed and presented before the internship ends.

Responsibilities

Assist the GTC team with compliance-related tasks.
Support the retention and organization of relevant documentation and records.
Participate in training on export processes, international trade regulations, and compliance requirements.
Research applicable laws and regulations and Metrea’s business operations to audit and assess operational risks.
Review GTC-related educational material and help improve it.
Complete a quarterly compliance audit with assistance from the GTC team and present it before the close of the internship.
