About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Analyst to join our dynamic Global Trade team, focusing on critical Country of Origin (COO) determinations and various duty-saving Special Programs. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our trade data, supporting our efforts in Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and Trade Agreement Act (TAA) compliance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your analytical skills to routine tasks, follow established procedures, and play a key part in strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and automation within a global trade environment.

Requirements

  • General knowledge and practical experience with Country of Origin (COO) principles and global duty savings programs, including Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and the Trade Agreement Act (TAA).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management, including data entry, validation, and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple routine tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate Country of Origin (COO) determinations for products in accordance with applicable regulations and trade agreements.
  • Administer and support various Duty Savings and Government Sales Programs, including Free Trade Agreements and TAA Certifications.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of trade data related to COO, FTAs, and other special programs, maintaining meticulous records and documentation.
  • Research and interpret straight forward trade regulations and requirements pertaining to COO and duty savings initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Sourcing, Engineering, Legal, Logistics) and external partners to gather necessary information for compliance activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within global trade compliance workflows, contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials on COO and special programs to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations related to compliance determinations.
