About The Position

Apple’s Brittles Global Supply Management team supports sourcing, manufacturing development, execution, and production of differentiated mechanical parts made with brittle materials. The team manages specialized supply chains and develops business processes that connect engineering risk with manufacturing capabilities and business needs.

The intern will support supply, cost, program, and operations management, including capacity planning, ramp and sustaining operations, cost analysis and strategy execution, manufacturing partner management, production planning, and risk mitigation. The role also involves collaborating with Apple industrial design, product development, and operations teams across the supply chain. The position requires six months of full-time work at manufacturing sites, mainly in Hai Phong.

Requirements

• Be an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Have a business or engineering background and an interest in or passion for manufacturing operations management.
• Commit to six months of full-time work at manufacturing sites, mainly in Hai Phong.
• Have a basic understanding of manufacturing operations and business management.
• Have good data collection and analysis skills and sound logical reasoning.
• Have solid communication skills and good spoken and written English.
• Be able to work independently in multinational environments and be results-driven and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of cost concepts and supply management.
• Experience with modeling and simulations.
• Program management experience.
• Ability to use Tableau.
• Chinese-language skills.

Responsibilities

• Support capacity planning, ramp operations, and sustaining operations to secure on-time delivery and meet customer needs.
• Support cost analysis, negotiations, and execution of cost strategies to maintain cost competitiveness.
• Manage manufacturing partners on site during new product introduction builds and drive ramp readiness.
• Manage manufacturing partners on site in production planning, execution, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Apple industrial design, product development, and operations teams across the supply chain.
