About The Position

The global supply management team is responsible for ensuring Zipline has the necessary parts from global suppliers in a reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective manner. This involves building supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance to mitigate supply risk. The team collaborates with design engineering, supplier industrial engineering, finance, program management, and material management to understand part design, manage supply against demand, drive cost reductions, and streamline international logistics. As a Global Supply Management Intern, you will gain practical experience with the systems, data, and supplier relationships that underpin Zipline's global supply chain. You will work with supply managers, engineers, finance, and operations teams to support sourcing, analytics, and daily execution. This internship is designed for students to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in procurement, logistics, and global operations, directly contributing to Zipline's mission.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about global supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on cross-functional projects.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with a willingness to dive into both strategic and tactical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking and analyzing supplier performance, purchase orders, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations on supply chain metrics.
  • Support sourcing activities by gathering quotes, conducting supplier research, and benchmarking costs.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot supply issues and identify process improvements.
  • Participate in supplier meetings and cross-functional discussions to gain exposure to real-world negotiations and decision-making.
  • Document and standardize processes to help build scalable systems.
