About The Position

The Global Supply Chain Risk Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for enterprise-wide supply chain risk management, with an emphasis on external suppliers and third-party risk. This role leads the identification, assessment, prioritization, and governance of risk mitigation activities that protect continuity, cost, service, compliance, and reputation. This position operates with high autonomy and influence, partnering across sourcing, operations, logistics, quality, finance, and executive leadership without direct people management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, supplier management, operations, or risk management
  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier and third-party risk assessment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex, ambiguous risk scenarios
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than authority
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Experience in global, multi-tier supply chains
  • Familiarity with supplier risk tools and external risk intelligence providers
  • Experience developing governance frameworks and executive dashboards
  • Background in manufacturing, consumer products, technology, or other disruption-prone industries

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise approach to supply chain and supplier risk management
  • Continuously monitor risks across global supplier networks, including financial, capacity, geopolitical, regulatory, cyber, and ESG risks
  • Assess and prioritize risks based on likelihood, impact, and criticality of suppliers, materials, and services
  • Identify single-source, regional, and category risks and lead scenario analysis
  • Govern risk mitigation, ensuring actions are clearly owned, tracked, and executed
  • Influence mitigation strategies such as alternate sourcing, dual qualification, inventory strategies, and contractual protections
  • Engage directly with critical suppliers to assess resilience and business continuity
  • Partner cross-functionally to embed risk considerations into sourcing and supplier lifecycle decisions
  • Provide executive-level program updates on top risks, trends, and mitigation progress
  • Support leadership during major supply disruptions with data-driven recommendations
