About The Position

The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for Pfister finished goods and key components, with a focus on cost competitiveness, supply continuity, quality stability, tariff and other risk mitigation, and other aspects of supplier performance. This role serves as a commercial and strategic owner of assigned supplier and category accounts, supporting New Product Introductions, resourcing initiatives, COO transitions, value engineering and innovation efforts. The position requires strong ownership, analytical rigor, and the ability to lead cross‑functional decision‑making without direct authority. The Global Sourcing Manager is accountable for delivering measurable results aligned with Pfister’s operational excellence objectives for Cost, Service, Quality, Risk, and Working Capital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in global sourcing/procurement, supplier management, commodity management, supply chain, and/or manufacturing operations experience in a manufacturing environment with a Fortune 500 company
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiation, cost savings, and contract management
  • Former managerial experience with proven team leadership/management skills, and project leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of sourcing best practices and strategic procurement processes
  • Strong analytical, financial, and cost modeling skills
  • Strong understanding of global supply markets, cost drivers, and sourcing economics
  • Ability to anticipate risk and proactively develop mitigation strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Intermediate to advanced level presentation and spreadsheet skills
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and operate independently
  • Strong business acumen and judgement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • Plumbing, fixtures, or consumer durable goods industry experience
  • Experience managing Asia‑based suppliers strongly preferred
  • Certified Purchasing Manager [CPM] Certification desirable

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage strategic supplier relationships, serving as the primary interface for commercial, capacity, and performance topics
  • Segment suppliers and develop tailored strategies addressing cost, risk, capability, and long-term alignment
  • Lead supplier business reviews and drive corrective actions to improve delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness
  • Select, develop, and evolve suppliers into strategic partners that bring value and innovation
  • Deliver year-over-year productivity through cost-based negotiations, VA/VE, and should-cost modeling
  • Negotiate, execute, and administer key commercial agreements (CMAs, Supply & Pricing, VMI, Consignment, Licensing, Exclusivity, Rebate)
  • Manage raw material, labor, currency, and overhead cost drivers across the product portfolio
  • Manage tariff exposure (IEEPA, Section 301, etc.) through pricing, mitigation, and sourcing shifts
  • Engage internal and external legal resources as well as other key stakeholders to propose and execute risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead country-of-origin diversification and localization strategies
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and documentation integrity
  • Lead sourcing for NPI, resourcing, dual-sourcing, and supplier transitions
  • Conduct RFQs/RFPs, competitive bidding, and make-vs-buy analyses
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality on supplier readiness and launch risk
  • Drive supplier performance to support fill rate, service, and continuity of supply
  • Monitor supplier scorecards and performance metrics
  • Support inventory optimization and working capital reduction
  • Lead warranty, RTV, and cost recovery efforts
  • Lead, mentor, and develop global sourcing team members; set priorities and remove barriers
  • Serve as sourcing lead on strategic initiatives
  • Present recommendations and risk assessments to senior leadership
  • Influence cross-functional partners through data-driven insights
  • Maintain sourcing data, cost models, and ERP/system accuracy
  • Ensure pricing changes and decisions are documented and auditable
  • Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes
  • Travel up to ~15% (Southeast Asia & North America)
  • Support annual operating plan, budgeting, and strategic planning cycles
