Requirements

  • Understand customer applications for building, process, energy management and life cycle expected performances.
  • Specify applications where Schneider Electric will provide differentiation and innovation to solve typical customer pain points in their market segment.
  • Create and maintain a set of reference architectures for their market segment in line with customer expectations, enabling high level prescription and standardization, in addition to more accurate engineering which will result in saving time, optimizing costs and reducing tendering and execution risks.
  • Animate the community of local architects to capitalize experience for the segment and feed the Global Segment Solution Offer roadmap with inputs from Customer Projects executed in countries. Contribute to define and set the targets of local Solution Architects and set up-skilling program to get them certified.
  • Technical background to understand customer issues as well as Schneider Electric & competition offers.
  • Engineering Degree aligned with industry – Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or Software or 4 years relevant industry experience.
  • Practical Experience leading in-depth customer understanding: Expertise in the targeted segment leading to customer vocabulary, pain points, expectations and deliverables.
  • System architecture methodology, starting from customer needs identification.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to foster cooperation and animate a strong technical community.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the Digital Energy Solution Offer roadmap by creating, promoting, and supporting integrated intelligent solutions for Data Centers in The Americas, with a primary focus on North America. This primarily includes Building Management Systems, Energy Management Systems and Substation Automation and Controls.
  • Bringing innovation and differentiation to customers, addressing business needs, customer process constraints, and technical challenges in order to improve the solution margin.
  • Developing reference architectures by Cloud & Service Providers customers.
  • Influencing Digital Energy roadmap with Segment solutions and offer requirements.
  • Working with SAEs & KAMs to ensure Digital Energy growth.
  • Making the synthesis of use-cases brought by local solution architects, in order to identify platforming opportunities to be included in reference architectures for this market segment.
  • Contributing to define and promote the unique Customer Value Propositions for the segment.
  • Defining long-term Segment Solution offer roadmap.
  • Feeding the Business Units roadmaps with specifications (operational, functional and technical) of differentiating segment offers.
  • Specifying interfaces (hardware, software & mechanical) to enable a smooth integration within EcoStruxure, from solution design to after-sales services.
  • Animating the Segment Offer Committee for the segment.
  • Supervising the Offer Creation Process gates related to their Segment Solution offer roadmap.
  • Supporting local organizations to build Customer Value Proposition and offers for critical Must Win projects.
  • Sharing experience with other Digital Energy C&SP Global Solution Architects.
