About The Position

Lasko Products, an industry leader in providing and manufacturing home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking a Global Quality Manager to join our corporate headquarters in West Chester, PA. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability from concept through production. The role combines design assurance and supplier quality management responsibilities, providing oversight across the entire product lifecycle — from supplier qualification and component validation to design verification and continuous improvement. This role will require strong collaboration with suppliers, engineers, and manufacturing teams across North America, Mexico, and Asia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality, design assurance, or product quality engineering.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
  • Experience implementing and auditing ISO 9001:2015 and supplier quality systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20%.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ Supplier Quality or Certified Quality Engineer certification a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of two Design Assurance engineers.
  • Ensure design outputs meet defined requirements and standards.
  • Review and approve design documentation, specifications, and changes.
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments (e.g., FMEA).
  • Support the compliance group to ensure products comply with relevant industry standards.
  • Support regulatory submissions and audits.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and verification.
  • Lead or support risk analysis activities.
  • Ensure risk controls are implemented and verified.
  • Maintain risk management files and documentation.
  • Oversee test planning and execution to confirm design meets requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of test results and deviations.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for test failures.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes from a quality and compliance perspective.
  • Ensure changes are properly documented and validated.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and quality teams.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and quality departments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve design processes and tools.
  • Implement lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Partner with suppliers to drive measurable improvements in product quality and reduce warranty-related costs.
  • Facilitate joint initiatives focused on defect prevention, process optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct supplier audits, certifications, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Lead structured corrective and preventive action processes (e.g., 8D, RCCA), ensuring timely resolution and sustainable improvements.
  • Develop, monitor, and drive supplier performance using key metrics such as On-Time Delivery and Responsiveness to Quality Issues.
  • Analyze trends and escalate risks to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Implement supplier development programs that include training in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), Capability Analysis, GR&R (Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility), and Structured Problem-Solving Methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of quality and operational excellence across the supply base.
  • Coordinate incoming inspection processes to ensure product conformity and risk mitigation.
  • Manage supplier quality documentation and lead resolution of non-conformance issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead supplier recovery efforts to recoup costs associated with non-conforming materials, rework, and warranty claims.
  • Ensure proper documentation and alignment with finance and legal teams for effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Engineering teams to support supplier selection and qualification for new programs.
  • Provide quality input during new product development, PPAP, NPI, and design transfer phases to ensure supplier readiness and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as the quality liaison between design, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.
  • Provide risk assessments to the Plant Manager, Business Units, and Corporate Quality on design or supplier-related quality issues, and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Coordinate inspection, testing, and validation of components and finished products to meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Support Customer Service in investigating and resolving customer complaints related to supplier or design quality.
  • Champion continuous improvement and standardization of Lasko’s global quality management system (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 practices.
