Global QHSE Lead Auditor

EnerMech•Houston, TX

About The Position

The Global QHSE Lead Auditor provides independent, risk-based audit and assurance across EnerMech’s global operations, projects, functions, and management system. Reporting to the Global Head of QHSSE Systems & Assurance, the role leads and conducts enterprise, cross-regional, and higher-risk assurance activities to determine whether QHSSE controls are appropriately designed, implemented in practice, and effective in managing material risk. The role goes beyond checklist auditing and procedural compliance. It examines work as performed, tests critical controls, assesses management-system effectiveness, identifies systemic weaknesses and weak signals, and produces clear, evidence-based findings to enable accountable leaders to improve. The role also strengthens audit capability across the global QHSSE function by establishing high standards for audit planning, evidence, interviewing, finding quality, corrective-action verification, and auditor competence. Independence, professional judgment, and the ability to constructively challenge senior leaders are fundamental to the position. The role requires willingness to travel approximately 40–60% of the time, including significant international travel, and to travel offshore when required and subject to appropriate medical, competency, and training requirements. The role involves working in industrial environments and complying with applicable site-access, PPE, and operational requirements. Support for significant assurance, certification, event-related, or executive review activities outside normal working hours may be necessary.
