About The Position

Ensures there is a common interface to the Customer and between the multiple sites; focuses on tactical execution that affects the strategic relationship between Flex and the Customer; continues to monitor and reduce program risk, while maximizing program profitability. This role is responsible for ensuring alignment of defined strategies between Flex manufacturing sites, monitoring key milestones, and ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables. The Global Program Manager acts as the single point of contact for customers on a global basis for all product programs and operational performance issues escalated beyond site management. They facilitate internal communication between Flex vertical partners and external communication between customers and Flex sites, ensuring customer expectations are clearly communicated and met. This role also involves leading and sponsoring Global customer FPLC projects, coordinating global customer business reviews, and contributing to customer contract development. Additionally, the Global Program Manager coordinates system programs between different Flex organizations and functions, identifies new opportunities, ensures cost reduction plans are in place, establishes business resumption plans, conducts operational reviews, and provides input into future Flex operational and manufacturing strategies. They are responsible for ensuring the use and sharing of best practices, standardization of processes, and establishing performance measurements for the Global PM Organization to maximize profit and reduce liability. This includes conducting CSMP with Customer Senior management, ensuring adherence to the CSMP schedule, and facilitating solutions for both Flex and the customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program administration/ management or related area.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and financial reports.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information to internal and external executive management.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses relationship skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment of defined strategies between the Flex manufacturing sites.
  • Monitoring of key milestones ensuring adherence to identified timelines and deliverables of key objectives for specific activities.
  • Ensure commonality between each of the manufacturing sites.
  • Part of escalation process.
  • Manage customer relationship on a Global basis and is the Customer single point of Contact, Globally for all product programs and operational performance issues escalated beyond site Management.
  • Facilitate internal communication between Flex vertical partners.
  • Facilitate external communication between customers and Flex Sites.
  • Ensure Customer’s expectations are clearly communicated and are being met within Flex.
  • Act as the leader and sponsor for Global customer FPLC projects and has sign off responsibility at the phase gate reviews
  • Coordinate / manage Global Customer business reviews on a quarterly basis
  • Input into Customer Contract development and ensures Contract requirements are adhered to by both operations and customers.
  • Co-ordinate full or part system programs, between different Flex organizations (e.g. PCB, Enclosures, B/P, Plastics, Design & Test etc.) and functions (e.g. Supply chain, Manufacturing, Design, Quality etc.).
  • Identify additional opportunities within a division/segment or account and support the integrated sales proposal.
  • Ensure cost reduction plans are in place to meet customer targets.
  • Establish and manage Business Resumption plans for all customer commodities.
  • Conduct operational reviews to ensure Flex and Customer requirements are at the required levels.
  • Input into future Flex operational and manufacturing strategies to support customer business strategies.
  • Ensure Use and Sharing of best practices and Standardization of Flex and Customer processes and procedures.
  • Establish performance measurements for Global PM Organization to maximize profit and reduce liability (CSMP, KOI, P&L etc.).
  • Conducts CSMP with Customer Senior management.
  • Ensure CSMP schedule is adhered to and improvement actions are implemented and communicated to the customer.
  • Facilitating solutions for Flex and the customer.
  • Setting and resetting customer expectations.
