About The Position

The Global Product Line Senior Director is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and performance of a global product line from concept through full life cycle. This role drives profitability, growth, and market leadership by aligning product strategy with corporate, financial, and regional objectives. The position provides global leadership across product development, commercialization, operations, marketing, financial performance, and organizational capability, while supporting regional management and leading change initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Scientific discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Strong working knowledge of oilfield product lines, applications, and operations.
  • Broad technical expertise in oilfield products and services.
  • Proven experience in new technology development or application.
  • International operations experience, including deep-water developments.
  • Sales and marketing experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with contracting, negotiation, and change management.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare business cases and projections.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multicultural, multinational environments.
  • Strong leadership, influence, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage tight and complex timelines.
  • Willingness to challenge established practices and drive innovation.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Product management experience within an oilfield services environment.
  • Commercial experience as a supplier and/or customer in the oilfield sector.
  • Offshore operational experience.
  • Remote or international assignment experience.

  • Define geographic participation strategies aligned with the business plan.
  • Lead global product strategy, R&D prioritization, market analysis, and manufacturing coordination.
  • Develop product definitions, launch strategies, and pricing models based on customer and market insight.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing.
  • Consistently demonstrate ethical leadership and adherence to company standards.
  • Lead planning, operation, and growth of the product line group globally.
  • Partner with manufacturing and operations to optimize inventory, assets, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
  • Oversee technical product development, commercialization, and lifecycle performance.
  • Review product life cycle performance and implement improvement actions.
  • Support customer engagement, tenders, and Business Service Agreements (BSAs).
  • Execute strategic marketing initiatives and participate in customer-facing activities.
  • Maintain strong market intelligence across technical, financial, and commercial dimensions.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, motivated, and disciplined global workforce.
  • Inspire and influence teams across a matrix organization, including indirect reports.
  • Drive performance management, objective setting, feedback, and development discussions.
  • Make talent decisions aligned to business value, succession planning, and capability needs.
  • Support development and delivery of technical and product line training programs.
  • Ensure personnel meet competency requirements and are aligned to role expectations.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities across teams.
  • Own and optimize product line financial results, including P&L, assets, inventory, capital expenditure, and cash performance.
  • Develop revenue and profit forecasts in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Establish and control operating, capital, and cost-of-goods budgets.
  • Provide financial and technical justification for product and investment decisions.
  • Ensure financial discipline, budget compliance, and timely expense processing.
  • Support employee career development through training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Actively engage in talent management processes including succession planning and assessments.
  • Partner with HR and Learning teams to recruit, develop, and retain critical talent.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that attracts and retains top talent.
