THE ROLE As a Supply Chain Intern , you will gain hands-on experience supporting Oshkosh Corporation’s global supply chain while contributing to real business challenges and projects. Opportunities are available across several Supply Chain teams, and interns may be matched to assignments based on their skills, interests, academic background, and business needs . Depending on your assignment, you may gain experience in areas such as logistics, global trade and import compliance, supplier performance, supply chain analytics and technology, supplier quality, or supply chain operations . You’ll collaborate with Supply Chain professionals and cross-functional partners to understand how suppliers, materials, transportation, technology, data, and business processes work together to support Oshkosh operations around the world. Throughout your internship, you'll have the opportunity to own meaningful work, develop your professional and technical skills, and gain exposure to the many career paths available within a global supply chain organization.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, International Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics , or a related field
  • Interest in supply chain, logistics, operations, global trade, supplier management, analytics, or related business functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external partners
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and areas of the business

  • Experience, coursework, or interest in one or more of the following is a plus: Supply chain management, logistics, or transportation
  • Global trade, import/export, or international business

Responsibilities

  • Supporting logistics and supply chain activities that help ensure materials and products move efficiently throughout the organization
  • Collaborating with suppliers, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, Operations, Quality, and other cross-functional teams
  • Analyzing supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement
  • Creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI
  • Exploring the use of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies to improve supply chain reporting and decision-making
  • Supporting supply chain applications and technology solutions through system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and software enhancements
  • Assisting with global trade and import compliance activities such as product classification, Importer Security Filings, import entry reviews, free trade agreements, audits, and reporting
  • Working with Customs Brokers and internal partners to support accurate and timely import activities
  • Supporting supplier quality, readiness, and performance initiatives
  • Participating in supplier development activities, capacity assessments, audits, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Supporting Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Identifying opportunities to improve supply chain processes, systems, supplier performance, and operational efficiency
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation, reports, project materials, and performance metrics
  • Participating in cross-functional projects and presenting findings or recommendations to Supply Chain leaders and stakeholders
