Global Procurement Category Lead - Portfolio
About The Position
Nufarm is a global crop protection and seeds technologies company that helps farmers and businesses meet the global challenges of food, feed, fibre and food production. As Global Procurement Category Lead – Portfolio, you will lead the development and execution of a globally aligned procurement strategy across Nufarm’s Portfolio category. Acting as a key procurement business partner, you will deliver sustainable value through strategic sourcing, cost optimisation, supplier risk management and strong stakeholder collaboration. This role is critical in supporting business growth, resilience and innovation across regions.
Requirements
- Significant experience in global or regional category management, with a strong track record of developing and executing procurement strategies.
- Commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Comfortable operating in a global, matrix organisation.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related discipline
- Deep experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract management
- Strong analytical, influencing and communication skills
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insight into tangible business outcomes
Nice To Haves
- Professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS) or postgraduate qualification (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a 3–5 year Global Category Strategy aligned to business and regional needs
- Lead global sourcing initiatives including RFX processes, negotiations and contract management
- Drive value through total cost of ownership, risk mitigation and supplier consolidation
- Establish and lead effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) frameworks
- Provide market intelligence and insights to inform sourcing and investment decisions
- Partner with global and regional leaders across procurement, finance, supply chain and the business
- Coach and support regional category managers to ensure consistent execution of global strategies
- Define and track category KPIs covering savings, service, innovation and performance
