About The Position

The Global Process Engineering Authority (GPEA) will work closely with the Global Process Engineering Leader for the Gas Value Stream. The primary focus is Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), including Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Fast Hole Drilling (FHD), and Shaped Tube Electrode Machining (STEM). The role is a focal point for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic process and equipment investments, including lead-time considerations, technology selection, tooling and fixturing recommendations, programming, quality plans, and qualifications for initial production sets. The GPEA will reduce costs through standardization of equipment and processes, establish standards, and ensure adherence to them. The role coaches and influences a dotted-line organization of factory technical leads across the supply chain. Using analytical skills, lean methodology, and the principle of “One Product One Process,” the GPEA drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost outcomes in line with business and functional objectives. The position offers broad exposure to manufacturing, engineering, quality, and safe process development, and contributes to a culture of inclusion, respect, and continuous improvement. The role will co-lead implementation of manufacturing systems supporting the global migration to the Next Generation Supply Chain across the Gas Turbine Value Stream. It will use Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to measure machine capability, analyze process requirements, and develop strategies to maintain or improve process yield. Lean methods include Transformation Planning, 3P (Production Preparation Process), Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Work, Kaizen, problem solving, and Poka Yoke. Travel is more than 25%. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; any offer may depend on obtaining government authorization. Relocation assistance is provided. The U.S. salary range is $122,600–$204,400, with geographic differentials in some areas and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
