About The Position

The Global Process Engineer (GPE) will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader, with a primary focus on developing and deploying global standards to improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Aero Alliance’s manufacturing equipment and processes. The role involves analyzing data and collaborating cross-functionally to implement proactive measures for process improvement. Responsibilities include cost reduction through equipment and process standardization, establishing and ensuring adherence to standards, and serving as a focal point for new technology introductions, asset transfers, and new process introductions. This includes managing lead times, technology selection, and recommendations for fixturing, tooling, process, control plans, and manufacturing asset qualifications. The GPE will coach and influence a dotted-line organization of factory manufacturing engineers across Aero Alliance factories. Success in this role hinges on leveraging analytical skills, the lean methodology, and the principle of creating process standards for equipment (“One Product One Process”) to drive SQDC in alignment with business and functional objectives. The selected candidate will gain strong technical knowledge and extensive exposure to manufacturing, engineering, quality, and safe process development, playing a key role in the Aero Alliance business and fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

For US Candidates Only: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
7+ years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.
5+ years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in Packaging, Material Transport, Material Handling
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and quality processes
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and schematics
Project Management skills and experience
For Non-US Candidates Only: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience
Significant years of industrial experience in manufacturing or quality.
Significant years of experience in a technical role (manufacturing engineer or similar) with expertise in Packaging, Material Transport, Material Handling

Project Management skills and experience
Fluency in English in writing and speaking

Responsibilities

Develop packaging, material transportation, material conveyance, & material handling process & equipment standards.
Deploy global standards across the Aero Alliance factories, partnering with local factory technical leaders.
Lead the transformation to move towards automated material transportation solutions including AGVs.
Define, control, communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including: facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks & calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, technical & technology training.
Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes, including EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, Materials, and Sourcing.
Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improve quality processes.
Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to eliminate the problems from re-occurring.
Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization.
Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment.
Participate in the design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset (Design for Reliability).
Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

Deploy lean principles, including, 3P (Production Preparation Process), Total Productive Maintenance, Jidoka, PQ/PR, Takt Cycle, Standard Work, Value Stream Maps, Kaizen, 4D/8D/A3 Problem Solving, and Poka Yoke.
