About The Position

Ingredion is seeking an ambitious student for a summer internship in their Global Operations Finance team. The intern will analyze manufacturing trends and intercompany volume/pricing, assist in financial reporting, and contribute to process improvements. This role offers the chance to apply academic knowledge in a corporate setting and drive career development. The ideal candidate has a strong initiative for process improvements and can adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

  • Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0, preferred
  • Be in or going into your junior or senior year of college
  • Ability to work on site 3 days a week during the summer internship term
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work facility 3 days per week
  • Proven ability to deliver under agreed upon deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and others
  • Solid teamwork skills and creative problem solving
  • Desire to see and create results
  • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
  • If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a junior or non-graduating senior.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and compare plant manufacturing costs in different global regions to understand trends and drivers and potentially identify business opportunities
  • Assist in evaluating and improving Ingredion’s intercompany pricing process with respect to timing, accuracy, and minimizing affiliate exposure
  • Contribute to the development of standardized Global Operations Finance reporting by implementing processes and procedures to ensure monthly and quarterly reporting is consistent, timely, and accurate
  • Provide timely assistance on global operations finance related ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests
  • Assist in the identification and recommendation of improvement opportunities and development of action plans
  • Manage positive relationships with internal operations and finance partners to deliver results and support business performance
