About The Position

BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) is seeking a Global Meetings Program and Technology Manager to lead the day-to-day success of a global meetings program. This role focuses on meetings technology, contracting, process improvement, and operational efficiency. The manager will support and optimize the meetings technology experience (currently Groupize), partner with client stakeholders and sourcing teams, understand current workflows, identify improvement opportunities, create standard operating procedures (SOPs), and drive consistent, scalable ways of working. The role also involves contract review and negotiation, and turning reporting data into meaningful business insights. The position requires collaboration with a Europe-based Global Travel Manager, necessitating a schedule that aligns with GMT and PT time zones (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM PT).

Requirements

  • Managing global meetings programs, meetings operations, or event technology tools
  • Creating SOPs, improving processes, and driving operational efficiencies
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts for meetings and events
  • Taking a consultative approach to understand stakeholder needs and recommend practical solutions
  • Working hands-on with meetings technology platforms, ideally Groupize
  • Training users, supporting adoption, and communicating clearly with stakeholders
  • Using data and reporting to identify trends, evaluate performance, and support business decisions
  • Balancing strategic improvement work with day-to-day program execution

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a global meetings technology platform in an administrative or power-user capacity
  • Familiarity with meetings, travel, sourcing, and supplier management processes
  • Experience working with client-facing teams in a consultative or advisory role
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort reviewing multiple reports to provide meaningful business insights
  • Experience working with global stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones
  • HCP or Life Sciences planning experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot
  • Ability to work remotely

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support key elements of a global meetings program, with a focus on operational consistency and user adoption
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for the meetings technology platform, currently Groupize, including day-to-day support, issue resolution, and process guidance
  • Partner with client administrators and sourcing teams to understand how they use the system today and recommend improvements
  • Create and maintain SOPs, training materials, and process documentation to support program users and promote best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, simplify processes, and drive efficiencies across meetings operations
  • Review, negotiate, and support meeting and event contracts, with a strong understanding of risk, supplier terms, and business requirements
  • Support venue sourcing and supplier engagement as needed
  • Analyze multiple reports and data sources to deliver clear, relevant business insights and program recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across regions and time zones to keep program priorities moving forward
