About The Position

This role for Global Marketing Services in North America is responsible for two critical and interconnected areas: Leading Hub Operations for GMS Service Delivery in North America: You will lead a team that governs the performance and relationships behind GMS Operations in North America, with a focus on the hub operations that support the delivery of key GMS services. These services include: Artwork Excellence Consumer Engagement Centres (CEC) Innovation Project Management Office (PMO) Asset Management Product Data Management (PDM) You will be accountable for driving operational excellence, transformation, and innovation across all GMS hub operations in North America, continuously improving processes, building strong partnerships with third party providers, and delivering measurable business outcomes. Leading Engage to Convert (E2C) Proof of Concepts: You will also lead the design, delivery, and scaling of proof of concepts across the Engage to Convert value stream. This involves: Integrating marketing and sales to deliver seamless, data-driven consumer and customer journeys that turn brand desire into demand. Designing and validating innovative pilots and proof of concepts, ensuring robust performance metrics and actionable insights. Shaping and testing scalable models for demand generation, helping define the future capability of GMS in North America. Championing the adoption of automation and AI technologies to optimize marketing and sales processes, enhance operational efficiency, and unlock new growth opportunities. This dual focus ensures the role delivers both operational excellence in supporting current GMS activities and strategic leadership in shaping future capabilities to support Unilever’s growth agenda in North America.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in marketing and/or sales, with a track record of driving transformation.
  • E2E function agnostic integrator (non silo mentality)
  • Demonstrable Agile mindset and capabilities
  • Experience leading proof of concept initiatives and scaling successful pilots
  • Strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated expertise in automation and AI applications within marketing and/or sales.
  • Leadership experience in a global or multi-market context
  • Successful history of Business Partnering within or to a Country/Function.
  • Complex project management experience
  • Experience of developing business cases and/ or Experience of managing financial and business process controls

Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern the performance and relationships behind GMS Operations in North America, focusing on hub operations that support the delivery of key GMS services.
  • Manage commercial and contractual relationships with partners, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee performance metrics and scorecards across user experience, cost, cash, and turnover.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to control frameworks and support in-market teams with dispute resolution and performance issues.
  • Lead a North America Performance Delivery Team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive the E2C agenda, integrating marketing and sales to deliver seamless, data-driven consumer and customer journeys.
  • Design, deliver, and validate proof of concepts, ensuring robust performance metrics and actionable insights.
  • Shape and test scalable models for demand generation, defining the future capability of GMS in North America.
  • Champion the adoption of automation and AI technologies to optimise marketing and sales processes.
  • Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of E2C objectives.
  • Be an active member of the GMS leadership team, contributing to and learning from wider GMS objectives and workstreams.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with senior stakeholders across marketing, sales, technology, and external partners.
