About The Position

Obagi Cosmeceuticals is seeking a strategic Global Marketing & Innovation Manager to oversee and co-manage Product Development initiatives for new and existing skincare products designed for our medical aesthetic channel. Responsible for concept development, formula development, and communication campaigns, this role will directly liaise with domestic and international teams to efficiently drive launch plans.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Advertising, International Business, Communication, or related field
  • 4-6+ years of relevant industry (beauty) related marketing experience with a focus on Global Marketing & Product Development.
  • Demonstrated success operating in the global marketplace collaborating with multiple markets/channel leads
  • Experience working with contract manufactures and managing ongoing relationships
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with a collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, ever-changing environment; someone who thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly, with a passion for creative problem solving.
  • Possess an energetic, positive attitude that encourages a team and supports the growth and professional development of others.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in skincare highly preferred
  • Prior experience in copywriting, storytelling, and leading presentations highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of New Product Development (NPD) including but not limited to: portfolio strategy, market research, scientific insights, concept development, launch timeline execution, prototyping, product claims, legal trademark process, cost-of-goods (COGs), forecast management, pricing proposals.
  • Co-lead clinical testing and claims development with the Product Development team for new and existing franchises.
  • Partner with Creative on packaging development (new and relaunch) and ensure transparency regarding all copy/package direction, providing components, working copy, etc.
  • Collaborate with Education & Science Comms to create relevant training content
  • Partner with Creative & channel leads on go-to-market assets incl. collateral for medical and consumer-facing campaigns
  • Gather and consolidate competitive insights
  • Lead ad hoc consumer research and develop appropriate action plans for the multi-year pipeline
  • Attend key conferences/symposiums to gain understanding and insights of the aesthetic market
  • Oversee global forecast as part of innovation demand planning in close collaboration with Supply Chain & Operations
  • Manage COGs
