Global Marketing Director, Equity is an enterprise leadership role responsible for building a meaningful and distinctive brand including brand identity, architecture and campaign content. You will join the Global Brand Team. You will partner with key stakeholders all functions, including ComEx, QSC, R&D finance and with the rest of the brand team – especially Innovation, Design, Expert and Market Engagement. We expect you to have a deep understanding of the consumer, capable of aligning global interests while effectively accommodating local market nuances and consequently strategizing and delivering growth for Advil globally and for the 6 OUs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Track record of significant contribution to the strategic planning process, at both a Category and Brand level
  • Significant brand building/marketing experience – brand positioning, brand architecture and general brand stewardship, with ability to lead complex projects within matrixed organization
  • Track record in the use of insights and data to drive strategic decisions and create enduring, distinctive and meaningful brand ideas across multiple channels/contexts with fit for purpose creative
  • Highly developed commercial acumen with experience in P&L/budget management, pricing/mix/promotional strategies, brand architecture; with a focus on performance

Responsibilities

  • Brand equity development Inspire & drive brand vision and audience planning, contribution to Brand Strategy
  • Own brand identity and management including brand heart and holistic brand language (HBL)
  • Lead and build compelling, superior and differentiated brand ideas that create short- and long-term impact, and can be applied seamlessly across platforms, channels and touchpoints.
  • Embed modern marketing initiatives behind creator strategy, social first environment and advanced audience planning and segmentation.
  • Partner with tech and agencies to lead data and digital strategies including integrated consumer experience, search optimization, marketing automation and more
  • Act as brand strategist; lead initiatives behind brand architecture, message hierarchy and market archetype.
  • Leverage and embed strategic planning tools, e.g., Task Maps & Consumer Experience Journey, partnering with CBIA Lead to ensure this is kept updated with latest global insight
  • Lead connections planning guidelines development and rollout, partnering with agency and media teams based on data and insights to achieve brand strategic priorities
  • Lead brand guardrails development, partnering with markets to support understanding and adoption
  • Collaborate with wider brand team (Innovation, Market Engagement & Performance, Design) and cross-functional partners (e.g. R&D, ComEx), to ensure a cohesion of innovation, comms, design and link to overall brand strategy
  • Exceptional team leader Set direction, empower, motivate and guide the team of direct reports, setting strong behavioral examples in personal development, demonstration of values and engagement of a diverse workforce
  • Exceptional relationships and ability to influence senior stakeholders in OUs marketing / commercial excellence and cross-functional teams to be close to key market performance, consumer and competitor trends, ensure alignment and brilliant programme delivery with the ability to problem solve for performance in a timely fashion.
