About The Position

This is an entry-level position for a Global Manager of Scientific Communications & Medical Education. The role reports into the Global Head of Scientific Communications and Medical Education (Endo-Metabolic Portfolio). The individual will be responsible for transforming complex scientific data into engaging and accessible content for healthcare professionals and other key audiences. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, supporting the dissemination of accurate scientific information through various channels. The qualified candidate will support the planning, development, and execution of scientific communication strategies and medical education initiatives.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (i.e., PharmD, PhD or MD).
  • 1+ years’ experience in medical affairs, scientific communications, medical writing, medical education/events, or other related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive scientific communications and medical education strategy/plans, enhancing the visibility, credibility, and impact of the organization’s research and scientific initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of key messaging frameworks to ensure scientific accuracy and consistency across all communication channels.
  • Participate in the generation and evolution of the cross functional brand(s) plan(s) and integrated evidence generations plans to ensure overall strategy reflects current therapeutic area dynamics and current lifecycle management needs.
  • Support the running of key strategy workshops to assist in the development of the medical strategy.
  • Support the development and management of the publication strategy while engaging key stakeholders (i.e., clinical development, authors etc.) to disseminate key scientific data/information through high-impact peer review journals, congresses, digital and other scientific platforms.
  • Assist the internal team in ensuring supported publications embrace the concept of scientific exchange, adhere to Good Publication practices (GPP) and to internal policies while ensuring ethical, transparent, and accurate reporting of data.
  • Assist in the management of external publication agencies and vendors ensuring timely and high-quality output of all publications.
  • Support the review and approval process for scientific publications with other internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Legal, Clinical Development etc.).
  • Support the development and customization of congress playbooks and the internal pre- and post- training activities.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in driving excellence & innovation in the planning and execution of congresses, utilizing creativity and digital experiences.
  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of company-sponsored congress symposia and other external-facing educational programs (i.e., Standalones).
  • Support the review process of all communications and educational content.
  • Support the delivery and rollout of scientific articles/visuals, webinars, presentations, and digital content for both internal and external use.
  • Assist in the relationship management involving KOLs, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and industry partners to enhance the reach of scientific communication/medical education while maintaining high standards and ensuring scientific integrity and credibility.
  • Assist in the KPI tracking of key publications and initiatives.
  • Support communication strategies both internally and externally with the use of digital innovations.
  • Management and maintenance of internal systems i.e., publication planning tools, SharePoint etc.
