About The Position

PHINIA is seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join its global optimization Quality team as an Advanced Quality Manager. The purpose of this position is to ensure quality is built into the product and process during development, guaranteeing customer satisfaction, risk mitigation, and flawless industrialization. This position will lead proactive quality engineering activities during Enterprise Operation System (EOS) development phases to ensure a robust quality system is built into the Product and Process as the product transitions into production. This role will also lead cross-plant and cross-region activities for all product lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Manager in a multi-national company, system module application in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
  • Experienced in implementing quality systems.
  • Good command of English in oral and writing.
  • Good command of MS. Office.
  • Familiar with IATF16949 and AIAG quality tools.
  • Experience in quality problem solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and good leadership skills.
  • Able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Be an example of Principled Leadership and Excellence.
  • Develop and maintain an Advanced Quality organization (Local & Global) which is self-sustainable through planning, strategic recruitment, employee feedback mechanisms, motivation, assessment and development with robust cross functional dialogue, training & coaching.
  • Support warranty and liability reduction initiatives within all projects during quote and product development process (PDP) phases (i.e. QRB, Warranty Waiver letters …).
  • Create/update and roll out existing and new PHINIA procedures that will improve our product and process development.
  • Ensure that advanced quality procedures/processes and tools are understood and rigorously applied on all ADV & PDP projects.
  • Manage Knowledge Library (K-lib) and ensure that K-Pac assessments are performed on-time at each PDP gate.
  • Ensure Flawless Launches through strict execution of PDP and APQP requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, track Advanced Quality KPI & objectives and report monthly those to all concerned functions (APQP roadmaps, PPAP …).
  • Escalate as appropriate significant project issues that may impact PHINIA warranty liability and support roadblocks removals.
  • Attend and approve as appropriate ADV / PDP gate reviews at system level.
  • Support change management in plant for all engineering changes.
  • Manage Advanced Quality budgets (TBC).
  • Promote within all functions the use of the following tools to improve quality throughout projects: APQP Tasks assessment in project server (under PM leadership), BoR-BoS and associated Warranty Warning and Waiver process, CVM, WRAM, K-Lib / K-Pacs.
