Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• 5 plus years of transportation management/analysis experience including people leadership
• Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to function effectively in a team environment
• Possess excellent organizational and process skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

• College degree in International Logistics, Supply Chain or Business related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage the door to door import movement of ocean containers, tracking and tracing shipments from overseas origin to US destinations, and supporting domestic inbound operations.
• Manage annual RFP process, onboard new partners, and review new import opportunities.
• Work with different departments to ensure efficient service delivery and problem resolution including logistics, operations, customer service, and finance.
• Supervise internal transportation analysts to ensure daily tasks are completed.
• Manage annual Ocean freight RFP.
• Oversee selection and onboarding of new ocean, drayage, origin services providers, customs brokers, and other partners.
• Review direct import opportunities.
• Maintain costing factors to appropriately communicate landed cost to organization.
• Ensure accurate documentation with foreign country requirements.
• Guide team for decisions regarding spot rates, premium rates, and space allocations for import.
• Maintain strong communication with internal partners, sourcing, supply chain, merchandising, etc.
• Develop and analyze forecasts to determine supply chain strategies and solutions.
• Work as a team player with internal staff and external customers to accomplish least cost/on-time delivery service.
• Monitor and manage key analytics for vendor performance.
• Support domestic inbound operations.
• Manage inbound delivery scheduling appointment system in partnership with distribution center network.
• Supervise team of Transportation Analysts whose duties include tracking and tracing inbound shipments from overseas and domestic origins to US destinations.
• Coordinate with outside vendors in making sure appt and delivery to DC has been completed.
• Understand the transportation cost per lane and commodity; manage controllable expenses.
• Ensure on time delivery and communicate variances timely.
• Prepare weekly logistics reports providing supply chain visibility and exception reports to several departments.
• Partner with Global Sourcing and Procurement to ensure data integrity and forecasting.
• Communicate and work with our Global sourcing, carriers, warehouses, truckers and internal depts. to ensure efficient service delivery and problem resolution including logistics, operations, customer service and finance.
