This role is responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies aligned with Corporate Purchasing, leading global and regional negotiations, RFQs, contract awards, and implementation. The position ensures short- and long-term supply at competitive total cost, quality, and innovation standards, and conducts market and cost modeling analysis to support sourcing decisions and identify cost reduction and value creation initiatives. Additionally, the role ensures uninterrupted supply of raw materials for planned production, supports forecasting, budgeting, material planning, and inventory optimization, and monitors the supply chain for efficiency opportunities. The Global Lead Buyer & Regional Coordinator also manages global and regional supplier relationships, sources, evaluates, onboards, and develops new suppliers, and drives Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). They monitor macroeconomic and commodity market developments, identify sourcing risks and opportunities, and support sustainability, compliance, and corporate initiatives. This role serves as a regional ambassador for Corporate Purchasing strategy, partners with various departments to drive value, and coordinates activities within the regional raw material cluster. Finally, the position maintains material and supplier databases, reports savings and performance metrics, and ensures compliance with company policies. Travel is approximately 20-30% (international included).
