About The Position

The Global HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Industrial Coatings and Specialty Products acts as a strategic advisor to the SVP Industrial Coatings and General Manager Specialty Products. This role is responsible for the overall effectiveness of HR strategies across these business units, aiming to drive growth and operational excellence through effective talent strategies, organizational design, and employee engagement, all aligned with commercial priorities. The position reports to the Global HR Director and involves strong visibility and partnership with HR leadership at the company's headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience within matrixed industrial manufacturing organizations, with experience operating in global, multi‑country management structures.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with global, matrixed B2B sales organizations, including designing and supporting sales incentive plans
  • Prior experience shaping and executing talent and culture strategy alongside senior leadership, with measurable success in building HR programs that generate long-term value for employees, customers, and shareholders.
  • Possess cultural sensitivity and emotional intelligence to work successfully across borders, functions, and levels

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global execution of HR strategies and initiatives, navigating local business complexity while championing enterprise alignment and a clear, consistent ONE PPG message.
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to B2B sales leadership, shaping sales org models, incentive design, and compensation frameworks aligned to go‑to‑market strategy, growth targets, and market dynamics.
  • Build and manage succession plans in partnership with business leaders by assessing talent across the organization and key talent pools to develop succession candidates.
  • Serves as change agent for effective communication and implementation of organizational change initiatives
  • Develop meaningful data and insights, metrics and scorecards to assess and monitor progress.
  • Champion and support diversity and inclusion initiatives to drive awareness and accountability and customize strategies where needed.
