About The Position

The Global Head of R&D for EPM shapes product development strategy and supports the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions, partnering closely with the General Manager, Product Manager Lead, and PMO Lead. The role leads a global R&D organization, fosters innovation and collaboration, and aligns technology strategy with business objectives. As a key technology leader, this person drives product evolution, supports customer success, and contributes to long-term growth ambitions.

The position leads the global R&D Product Group across software engineering, testing, and product delivery, including an organization of approximately 150 professionals. It develops and executes R&D strategies aligned with the company’s 2030 vision and growth objectives, leads new product development and portfolio enhancements, and manages R&D budgets, resources, and project priorities. The role also serves as the primary technology contact for customer escalations and strategic opportunities, supports cross-functional communication, and represents the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements. Global travel may be required.

Requirements

• 20+ years of leadership experience in product development, software development, or software product delivery.
• Strong R&D leadership experience and a proven ability to lead large, globally distributed teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience engaging directly with customers and serving as the technology point of contact for escalations and strategic opportunities.
• Demonstrated success leading, developing, and inspiring diverse teams of engineers and technical professionals.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proven experience managing budgets, resources, and complex development portfolios.
• Willingness to travel globally as required.
• Experience working within a global, matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of current trends, technologies, and best practices in software product development and delivery.

• An MBA or other advanced degree, combined with extensive business experience, is strongly preferred.
