About The Position
The Global Head of Data Science, Analytics & AI for Mars Snacking is a senior leadership role focused on shaping and executing the segment’s Analytics & AI strategy during a period of transformation and integration following the acquisition of Kellanova. As a member of the CDAO leadership team, the role co-creates the vision and strategy for data science, analytics, and AI, delivers digital products and capabilities, establishes governance and frameworks, and builds a high-performing global team. The position partners with functional, regional, and divisional leaders to create business value, support integration priorities, and make data, analytics, and AI core enablers of growth across the expanded portfolio. The role leads strategic development and implementation, business partnership, operational excellence, capability and governance, AI literacy, technology architecture, and research into emerging skills, models, and market trends. It also works with internal IT and external partners to maximize the value of technology platforms and ensure responsible, scalable, high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 12+ years of experience in the data and analytics space.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity managing large, technical teams.
- Proven experience in Product Management within AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills and ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders across a large enterprise.
- Deep technical knowledge in Machine Learning, Data Science, and Computational Science.
- Demonstrated experience in AI strategy development and successful implementation.
- Experience managing vendor and partner relationships to drive innovation and execution.
- Strong understanding of User Experience (UX) principles in the context of AI and analytics products.
- Solid experience in business case development and feasibility assessment for technical projects.
- Experience working across leading technology platforms, including GCP Gemini, Databricks, and Azure.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a CPG or Retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and application of the strategic vision for data science, analytics, and AI for the Snacking segment, partnering with functional, regional, and divisional leaders to deliver innovative, scalable solutions.
- Build, engage, and develop a high-performing global team of Data Science, Analytics & AI associates, establishing clear ways of working and accountabilities.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to segment regions, functions, and divisions by understanding business needs, identifying opportunities to scale, and providing innovative solutions and recommendations.
- Support regions, functions, and divisions in delivering integration priorities with purpose and pace.
- Ensure operational excellence and accelerate quality growth through advanced analytics and AI capabilities, including SRM (Strategic Revenue Management) and Perfect Store, Perfect Service agentic tools.
- Establish a vision, strategy, and framework for a consistent, scalable, high-quality approach to Analytics & AI, ensuring value realization and adherence to governance and ethical practices.
- Champion AI maturity growth across the segment, elevating capabilities and sponsoring valuable experimentation and scale.
- Contribute to the architectural direction for analytics technology solutions and partner with internal IT and external partners to maximize value from technology platforms.
- Lead research and evaluation of emerging skills, models, and market trends, bringing forward recommendations and solutions to achieve the long-term vision.
