About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Chancellor for Hawaii Tokai International College, this position serves as a strategic liaison for developing and managing external partnerships and revenue generating educational initiatives. This position is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing innovative programs, securing new clients and institutional partners, negotiating business agreements, managing and maintaining accounts, and overseeing project implementation from concept to final product. The expectations of this position are to ensure that HTIC’s educational and physical assets, to include classrooms, residence facilities, and any other on campus resources are fully utilized.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university at the time of appointment; and four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
  • Intermediate skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Meticulous organization and time management skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and accurate in duties performed.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to handle diverse projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule (some weekends, evenings, and holidays).
  • Strong language proficiency in the English language and Japanese language including advanced reading/writing and listening/speaking skills.
  • Have a valid State of Hawaii driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university at the time of appointment in Business Administration or related field.
  • Previous work-related experience in business development and project management.
  • Previous experience working with international populations.
  • Previous study abroad experience.
  • Previous event coordination experience.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED certification.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate new business ventures.
  • Develop relationships with schools, universities, corporations, sports organizations, government agencies, and community partners.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and service contracts.
  • Expand HTIC’s client and partner portfolio.
  • Develop and manage programs, including but not limited to: Short term educational programs, Executive and professional training, Sports and cultural exchange programs, Youth development initiatives, Facility based partnership programs, Customize educational experiences.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned partners.
  • Execute and manage approved projects, ensuring active involvement throughout all phases of the projects.
  • Communicate and act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders involved in the proposed projects.
  • Monitor quality, schedules, and financial performances.
  • Ensure and maintain client satisfaction and business relationships.
  • Develop a diversified portfolio to include various programs and partnerships.
  • Able to successfully achieve annual objectives.
  • Maintain programs’ profitability.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chancellor.
