The AI-Driven Customer Engagement (AICE) team is transforming how Sanofi goes to market by combining human expertise with AI, automation, data, and new ways of working. The Marketing Transformation & AI Strategy team helps define and build the capabilities required to make this transformation real. This includes identifying and testing emerging technologies, redesigning workflows, developing scalable frameworks, and helping teams adopt new approaches across brands and markets. As content creation becomes increasingly AI-enabled, visual design must evolve beyond traditional production. Designers need new tools, skills, standards, and operating models that allow them to work more efficiently while continuing to deliver high-quality, differentiated customer experiences. This role will help shape that evolution—connecting visual design expertise with AI, creative technology, capability building, and organizational change. The Global Creative Capability, AI & Innovation Lead is responsible for evolving how visual design is enabled and delivered across AICE and the broader marketing organization. This is a transformation and capability-building role rather than a traditional content-production position. The role will evaluate and advance AI-enabled design tools, improve creative workflows, establish scalable design frameworks, and help visual designers adopt new technologies and ways of working. A central responsibility will be coaching and developing visual designers across internal teams, distributed pods, and external partners. The role will create practical guidance, learning resources, templates, and communities of practice that enable designers to use emerging technologies effectively while maintaining strong standards for brand consistency, customer experience, accessibility, and quality. The role will also serve as a subject-matter expert and strategic partner for teams exploring new visual design capabilities. This includes identifying business needs, translating them into capability requirements, testing potential solutions, and helping determine which tools and approaches should be piloted, scaled, integrated, or discontinued. While the role may occasionally provide hands-on design support to test a new capability, create a proof of concept, or demonstrate a recommended approach, its primary purpose is to enable and elevate the work of others—not to serve as a central production resource. Success requires deep visual design expertise, curiosity about emerging technology, and the ability to turn experimentation into practical, scalable ways of working. The ideal candidate combines the judgment of an experienced designer with the mindset of a coach, capability builder, and transformation leader.
