About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Global Clinical Operations Excellence Intern to join the Pharma Product Development (PD) Global Clinical Operations (PDG) team within the Clinical Operations Excellence (COE) department. At Roche/Genentech, our bold Pharma Ambition is to transform drug development and deliver 20 transformative medicines addressing diseases with the highest societal burden by 2030. As an intern in this role, your primary focus will be supporting efforts to enhance productivity and facilitate the delivery of clinical trials to patients. You will have the opportunity to enable innovative clinical trial delivery and help address emergent, high-impact needs across Clinical Operations to make trial delivery more efficient for patients, investigators, and clinical site staff.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Biomedical Informatics, Science, Business, Healthcare, or closely related fields.
  • You are developing an understanding of the infrastructure needed to conduct clinical trials and drug development.
  • You are building awareness of the clinical trial industry and how clinical trials are operationalized.
  • You are computer literate and enthusiastic about supporting the timely adoption of cutting-edge technologies and knowledge management tools to optimize operational efficiency.
  • You are eager to learn about GCP/GVP compliance, business process ownership, and data integrity.
  • Strong communication, good attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and an interest in using data and technology to improve patient outcomes.
  • You are a self-starter who can eventually prioritize your own work with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with study teams, COE colleagues, and Quality and Compliance experts to help optimize processes and support strong compliance and quality assurance.
  • Partner within and across different business units, including PDQ, pRED, gRED, and USM.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and change management activities, bringing fresh perspectives to help solve complex problems.
  • Support the creation, improvement, and implementation of enhanced global and local processes, policies, and training programs.
  • Assist in fostering knowledge sharing and support the adoption of new ways of working utilizing data, AI, and innovative technologies.
  • Help support a forward-thinking learning management strategy for Clinical Operations, focusing on building future capabilities through innovative learning solutions.
  • Maintain a global reach to support local business needs and help foster a culture of collective success and high performance.
