About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Global Account Director for its Data Center and Technology Market Sector. This executive role will manage AECOM's relationships with its largest global technology clients, with projected annual revenues of $30-$60 million across all AECOM regions and business lines. The position reports to the Senior Vice President and Head of Global Technology and Data Centers and is responsible for growing AECOM's business with these clients. Key performance indicators (KPIs) will focus on portfolio growth, profitable delivery, client satisfaction, relationship strength, and long-term strategic direction. The ideal candidate is a growth-oriented, resilient, and inspiring leader with strong connections in the data center industry and adept at relationship building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field plus at least twelve (12) years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Proven experience developing relationships to drive growth.
  • A strong collaborator who thrives in a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience in data center development.
  • Self-motivated, strong leader with significant experience in a client-facing role.
  • Existing relationships with industry-leading hyperscalers, colocation companies, and/or developers.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and lead by influence.
  • Experience working with multicultural teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and globally.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a clear and actionable strategy to deliver profitable, organic growth of the account(s), aligned with AECOM's global data center and technology sector strategy.
  • Establish visibility with clients as a global leader who adds value and delivers successful outcomes aligned with their business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to global multi-disciplinary teams, promoting all of AECOM’s services.
  • Influence AECOM’s leadership decisions across the business to better align with client priorities.
  • Develop and maintain senior and executive client relationships.
  • Work with regional leadership and project teams to anticipate issues and continuously improve quality.
  • Serve as a connector across AECOM's business units to deliver unique and differentiated solutions for clients' complex challenges, including assembling global teams and solutions to strengthen client relationships and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Raise AECOM’s brand within the industry through thought leadership and conference speaking engagements.
  • Actively support the attraction and retention of client account management talent through mentoring.
  • Grow and maintain a network with current and potential clients, utilizing industry reputation, experience, and knowledge to develop new prospects and expand existing business.
