About The Position

Milacron is seeking a Global Category Manager - Machined Parts & Outside Processing to join its team in Batavia, Ohio. The role is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for machined components and outside processing services across Milacron’s operations. The position works with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality, lead time, and continuity of supply.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, contract development, and cost savings.
• Experience managing suppliers across multiple regions.
• Experience with total cost analysis, including freight, duties, and tariffs.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Nice To Haves

• Experience sourcing machined components and outside processing services.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Lean principles and supplier development experience.
• MBA or advanced degree.
• Experience using advanced analytics or AI within sourcing or supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global category strategies for machined parts and outside processing.
• Lead supplier identification, qualification, selection, and rationalization.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and long-term supplier agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Evaluate total cost, including part price, freight, duties, tariffs, inventory, and quality.
• Monitor market conditions, capacity constraints, tariffs, and supply risks.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Support make/buy and regional sourcing decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity.
