Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, supply chain or related discipline; and 5+ years’ experience in Procurement or other supply chain related function
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with ability to communicate up and across the organization
  • Cross functional collaboration and influencing, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • As a part of the Global Fiber and Fluff category team, develop and execute the global Eucalyptus category strategy by collecting inputs from North America supply chain leaders, NA R&D and Enterprise Value Stream teams (e.g., market trends, mill synergies, business needs); Execute the category strategy implementation plan across North America (as created by the Global Category Leader) and continuously refresh the strategy via regular check/adjust cadence.
  • Manage category initiatives and strategic projects across North America (e.g., innovation, furnish mix changes, best-practice sharing, data gathering/inputs); Create and maintain category knowledge, playbooks, and processes to ensure strategies remain informed, relevant, and up to date; Represent Procurement on Enterprise Value Stream activities for category-related projects.
  • Support execution of Eucalyptus initiatives by partnering with Global R&D, Enterprise Value Stream and segments to scale adoption and identify suppliers to support the program.
  • Establish trust and accountability with stakeholders; communicate clearly and succinctly on platform goals, risks, and changes; Partner with procurement business partners, R&D and Agile squads (and other cross-functional product owners as applicable) to deliver sourcing and category initiatives.
  • Maintain strong connectivity with CoE and amplified commodities teams to exchange/build market intelligence and support ABU reviews and sourcing analytics; Lead through hands-on engagement with decision makers to drive alignment and change adoption; Lead and support sourcing events at both a global and segment level (as needed); routinely benchmark "mark the market" through competitive RFXs for new services and renewals and challenge auto-renewals; Own key global supplier relationships; plan quarterly SRM reviews and value/innovation discussions; escalate and resolve supplier continuity issues.
  • Own Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for one key strategic partner, with a focus on maintaining and nurturing the relationship through regular governance, executive alignment, and proactive issue resolution; Build and sustain a joint value-creation roadmap with the strategic partner (cost, service, sustainability, and innovation), tracking actions and outcomes through quarterly business reviews; Manage, track and report category costs, sourcing initiatives, savings, and results.
  • Lead and monitor supplier performance to improve service, quality, and cost; reduce enterprise risk (including continuity and single-source exposure where applicable); Identify and evaluate new suppliers and supplier innovations with R&D; help structure term sheets and commercial frameworks that provide advantaged pricing and access to novel technology; Track fiber sustainability supplier roadmap (e.g., FSC certificates, Scope 3 programs); Ensure compliance with applicable procurement rules and Code of Conduct; promote best-practice development and sharing.
