About The Position

The Global Category ComEx Director (Wellness) drives the integration of commercial excellence into Wellness category strategies, ensuring strong customer and shopper centricity, best-in-class omnichannel execution (including digital commerce), and scalable commercial capabilities to deliver sustainable category growth. The position is based in Warren, NJ, and follows a hybrid model, requiring an in-office presence of 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Commercial Excellence, Category Management, Sales Strategy, or Digital Commerce within a large consumer health or FMCG organization.
  • Direct experience in managing customer.
  • Demonstrated ability to embed customer and shopper-centric insights into commercial and category strategies.
  • Experience delivering commercial inputs into enterprise planning cycles (e.g., IGP) and category governance forums.
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce ecosystems, including omnichannel strategy, eRetail fundamentals, and performance metrics.
  • Experience working across multiple market archetypes and channels (e.g., distributor-led, customer-led, eCommerce, pharmacy, modern trade).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders across global and local teams.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the ‘Voice of the Customer and Shopper’, embedding insights into category strategies, innovation, and go-to-market approaches to drive sustainable growth.
  • Provide and approve commercial inputs and customer insights into Category-led forums (e.g., CGLT) and enterprise-wide planning cadences (e.g., IGP).
  • Translate category growth strategies into customer category story, ensuring alignment with global commercial excellence blueprints and frameworks.
  • Partner closely with Global Category, within Commercial Excellence global function, and OU teams to shape commercially viable category growth strategies across channels and markets.
  • Act as a key interface with Marketing Excellence and Commercial teams to ensure category strategies are fully optimized for Digital Commerce and omnichannel execution (including retails and pharmacy channels).
  • Identify and scale digital commerce growth opportunities, leveraging data, analytics, and emerging trends to inform category strategies.
  • Partner with dComm and Media teams to ensure consistent deployment of global standards, tools, and capabilities across markets.
  • Work closely with NRM and Brand team to identify PPA opportunities to support the omnichannel ambition.
  • Coordinate with other Global Category ComEx Directors to define and align on global commercial planning frameworks, KPIs, and governance, ensuring integration with IGP and category strategies
  • Drive adoption of standardized commercial excellence frameworks and tools across OUs and markets, ensuring consistency and scalability.
  • Enable capability building across markets, fostering best practice sharing and continuous improvement in commercial execution.
  • Collaborate with OUs, Markets, and Global teams to ensure effective implementation of commercial strategies and frameworks in-market.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Category, Marketing, Sales, dComm, and CBIA (analytics and insight) teams to ensure end-to-end alignment from strategy to execution.
  • Act as a thought leader on commercial excellence influencing senior stakeholders and driving enterprise-wide alignment.
