About The Position

Flexport.org is the humanitarian arm of Flexport, serving nonprofits, NGOs, and mission-driven organizations that need to move impactful cargo reliably, often into challenging environments. As humanitarian and development needs increase, the supply chain expertise our partners rely on is more critical than ever. This role involves owning some of Flexport.org's most complex and high-impact partner relationships, spanning multiple shipping modes (ocean, air, trucking, customs) and requiring significant supply chain fluency. The position demands a strategic approach to partner engagement, leading business reviews that drive decisions, and leveraging Flexport's full product suite to enhance partner capabilities. The role offers autonomy, a focus on program growth and retention, and the opportunity to mentor junior team members.

  • A track record of independently managing and growing a complex, multi-product book of business.
  • Deep understanding of global trade and supply chain operations across multiple modes (ocean, air, trucking, and customs).
  • Comfort operating without a playbook in ambiguous or novel situations, with the judgment to create playbooks for others.
  • Strong commercial instincts to identify and close growth opportunities.
  • Genuine curiosity about the humanitarian and development space, aiming to become an expert in aid logistics.
  • A natural tendency to develop others, improving the skills of peers and junior teammates.

  • Lead RFP bids and contract renewals end-to-end.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to nonprofits, NGOs, and mission-driven organizations, analyzing their supply chain operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction, capability enhancement, or speed improvement.
  • Lead high-impact business reviews (QBRs/MBRs) that provide market context, multi-modal insights, and tailored recommendations.
  • Drive expansion across Flexport's full product suite, consistently meeting or exceeding program growth and retention targets.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Pricing, Legal, Trade Lane Management, and other Flexport.org teams to develop solutions requiring internal alignment and creative problem-solving.
  • Mentor account teammates by sharing playbooks, joining key partner calls, and helping the team improve.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools to automate and enhance internal and partner-facing processes.
