About The Position

KEMET Electronics / YAGEO Group is seeking a Global Account Manager based in San Jose, CA to support the U.S. Global OEM team. This strategic, customer-facing role requires strong technical expertise and business leadership to drive growth within key Tier-1 hyperscaler and semiconductor accounts. The Global Account Manager will be the primary technical and commercial interface, ensuring YAGEO’s passive and discrete components are integrated into next-generation AI, server, and high-performance computing platforms. The role involves supporting customers, sales, and product teams by providing technical expertise and solutions to design challenges. Collaboration with innovative clients, travel within the territory, and contributing to product development by sharing customer insights with business units are key aspects. Ideal candidates are outgoing, eager to learn new technologies, and skilled at building strong relationships. The role also includes supporting internal training efforts and developing technical content for design engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry, or 5+ years in Global Account Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic customer relationships and drive technical design-in activities.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience supporting account growth, commercial discussions, or P&L responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with technical tools used for customer analysis and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year global strategies for Tier-1 accounts to maximize YAGEO’s "Total Solution" business share across complex hardware ecosystems.
  • Partner with Semiconductor architects to ensure YAGEO components are on the reference platforms for next-generation programs, ensuring we are "pre-qualified" for their end-customers.
  • Collaborate with customer R&D teams to specify high-performance components (e.g., KEMET high-reliability caps, Pulse magnetics) into AI/ML server architectures.
  • Master the "Design-In US, Manufacture Global" model. Seamlessly manage the hand-off between US-based engineering and Asia-based ODM/EMS partners to ensure design wins transition to mass production.
  • Serve as the primary global lead for executive leadership and strategic sourcing. Conduct high-impact QBRs that align YAGEO’s technology roadmap with the customer’s long-term hardware lifecycles.
  • Own the account, including global pricing strategy, multi-year contract negotiations, and precise demand forecasting to ensure supply chain continuity in a volatile market.
