About The Position

IPRally is a legal tech company at the forefront of AI-driven solutions for intellectual property (IP) and research & development (R&D) workflows. Founded in 2018, IPRally initially focused on reimagining prior art searching but has expanded to power the entire IP and R&D lifecycle. Their proprietary Graph AI and agents provide explainable, accurate answers rapidly, automating repetitive tasks for IP and legal teams. This leads to faster searching, enhanced portfolio and competitive intelligence, and a more streamlined path from invention to patent protection. IPRally aims to elevate professionals and support customers in achieving a virtual IP department. Their existing clients include major companies like Google, Saint-Gobain, and Dolby, as well as prominent law firms, service providers, and national patent offices. The company is entering a phase of accelerated growth and is seeking to expand its Global Account Executive team in North America to introduce its disruptive legal tech to a wider market.

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree.
  • 5+ years of consultative, customer-facing intellectual property work experience.
  • Ability to advise customers.
  • Native or fluent English proficiency, including patent terminology.
  • Analytical skills to break down complex information into clear, actionable intelligence.
  • Personable and passionate communication skills.
  • Experience as a patent attorney, patent agent, or IP analyst is preferred, or experience as a legal professional or experienced Account Executive in the IP space.
  • Driven to make a tangible impact on customer workflows and career trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for IP teams, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Build long-term partnerships with attorneys, agents, and innovation leaders.
  • Advise legal and IP teams on the potential of transparent AI in patent work.
  • Translate industry trends into actionable roadmaps for customers.
  • Communicate effectively about both patent and AI concepts.
  • Identify and uncover challenges within IP teams' existing workflows.
  • Diagnose workflow breakdowns and understand customer processes.
  • Develop plans to demonstrate how IPRally addresses identified challenges.
  • Champion change within organizations.
  • Measure success based on reduced hours, improved decisions, and protected IP.
