About The Position

Minneapolis Glass Company is seeking an experienced Glazier to join their team. This role involves installing glass into commercial building facades, including cutting, installing, and removing glass in metal storefront or curtain wall construction. You will be a key member of a collaborative and seasoned professional team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This is a first shift operation with a work schedule of about 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. Requirements

High School degree / GED required
3 years glazing experience required and as a union journey-level.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. assisted.
Ability to stand for 8 hours a day with frequent lifting, carrying, kneeling, bending and stretching.
Ability to accurately use a tape measure and read blueprints.
Confidence in working on scaffolding, boom lifts and other cranes.
Valid driver's license
Completed an apprenticeship program with IUPAT or equivalent glass & glazing union.

Responsibilities

Installing commercial glass using putty, rubber gaskets or metal clips.
Setting glass and doors using a variety of hand tools such as screw guns.
Installing glass by hand or with scaffolding or out of boom lifts when over 6 feet.
Working from blueprints and design layouts to ensure accurate completion of glazing jobs.
Working in a wide variety of commercial settings and all weather conditions.
