About The Position

As a glazier, you will be required to cut, fabricate, and install glass and architectural aluminum metal for windows, doors for commercial store fronts, glass curtain walls, and unitized panel systems. You will install custom automatic doors and skylights in buildings as well as cut and install mirrors. Glaziers use a variety of power and hand tools as well as power equipment in the shop and on construction projects. During the installation process, you will be required to properly set the metal, glass, and seal the unit to be watertight. As an installer, you will use wire clips, rubber gaskets, metal or wood moldings, putty, and caulking to complete the installation process.

Requirements

Experienced in all phases of curtain wall, storefront, and unitized panel systems.
Thorough understanding and ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
Ability to use grinders, saws, caulk guns, scaffold, ladders, lift machines etc.
Knowledge of and abide by all job site safety standards/ OSHA compliance.
Must be able to pass a drug screen, no exceptions.
Ability to take direction from foreman and superintendent.
Have basic hand tools.
Have reliable transportation and ability to travel to required job sites.

Be a respectful union member on the jobsite.
