About The Position

Portland Glass is hiring a Glazier to install and replace residential and/or commercial glass. The role involves measuring, cutting, handling, and installing glass and related materials; reading work orders, blueprints, and specifications; and using hand and power tools to complete quality installations. The Glazier diagnoses installation challenges, completes work efficiently without sacrificing quality, and provides professional, friendly service directly to customers. The role also includes maintaining a clean and organized work area, tools, and company vehicle; following safety procedures and industry best practices; and representing the Portland Glass brand professionally.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort using computers, mobile devices, and other technology.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to complete a background check and drug screen in accordance with company guidelines.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Previous glass installation experience.
• Three or more years of carpentry or related trade experience may also be considered.
