Glaze Line Technician - Tile - A Shift
About The Position
The Glaze Line Technician is responsible for ensuring all safety protocols and quality standards are met within the Glazing department. This role involves maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to the ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System, and performing necessary audits and training. The technician will also assist the Glaze Line Supervisor in coordinating operations, training new hires, and collaborating with the maintenance team on operator basic care programs. Key responsibilities include making adjustments to production equipment, assisting with color and production changes, and performing fill-in and relief duties for all glazing functions.
Requirements
- Adherence to safety protocols.
- Following Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
- Performing LTT audits.
- Delivering safety training materials.
- Ensuring product specifications are met.
- Reviewing box samples and pre-production tests.
- Coordinating glaze line operations.
- Training new hires on safety, quality, management systems, equipment, and product knowledge.
- Working with maintenance on operator basic care programs.
- Performing fill-in and relief duties.
- Adjusting rotocolor, digital machines, and airless cabins.
- Assisting in color and production changes.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered to.
- Helps to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for Glaze Line areas.
- Follows the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001 for all finishing operations.
- Performs necessary LTT audits and assists in delivering weekly safety training materials.
- Ensures product specifications are followed throughout the Glazing department.
- Responsible for reviewing box samples and pre-production tests with Supervisor.
- Assist the Glaze Line Supervisor in coordinating the operations of glaze line operations.
- Responsible for training of all new hires in regards to safety, quality policy and management systems, as well as operations of all glazing equipment and product knowledge.
- Responsible for working with maintenance team to develop and sustain operator basic care programs.
- Fill-in and relief responsibility for all glazing job functions.
- Performs adjustments to rotocolor, digital machines, and airless cabins to ensure production is correct.
- Assists in color and production changes.
- Completes other tasks as needed.
