About The Position

We are excited to announce an outstanding opportunity for an Glaucoma Surgeon to join our esteemed team of ophthalmologists at our new location in Huntsville. Our dedicated group of four doctors sees patients from two primary offices along with five satellite locations throughout the greater Birmingham metro area. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated in our wide range of services, which include cataract surgery, corneal surgery, LASIK, PRK, and glaucoma treatment. Year after year, our team of optometrists and ophthalmologists has been honored as Birmingham's best eye doctors, and we take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of vision care. At Alabama Vision Center, we utilize cutting-edge medical and surgical technology, equipped with the latest diagnostic tools to effectively screen for eye disorders. Our practice is actively involved in pioneering advancements in ophthalmology, with our doctors participating in numerous FDA studies that contribute to the development of intraocular lenses (IOLs) widely used for vision correction. Huntsville, the heart of Madison, Limestone, and Morgan Counties, is the most populous city in Alabama and ranks as the second-largest metro area after Birmingham. Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Glaucoma.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Alabama.
  • Experience with cataract surgery, corneal surgery, LASIK, and PRK.
  • Proficiency in utilizing cutting-edge medical and surgical technology and diagnostic tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in building and managing a medical practice.
  • Strong community relationships or ability to establish them.
  • Interest in participating in clinical research and FDA studies.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow your own Oculoplastic practice.
  • Provide comprehensive glaucoma treatment.
  • Participate in FDA studies contributing to ophthalmology advancements.
