About The Position

Join Kohler Co.'s manufacturing team as a Glass Production Operator in the Enamel Shop at our Kohler, WI location. This role is crucial in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products, specifically by making glass and milling it into powder for use in enameling areas. The position requires weekend work, with a rotating schedule involving Tuesday-Thursday plus either Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday each week.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
• Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation including but not limited to bending, lifting, and pushing weight.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
• Consistent attendance and work performance.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn all jobs in the department.
• Make glass and mill it into powder for use in the enameling areas.
• Move bulk bags of frit to and from inventory.
• Load material into the batching system.
• Prepare ground coat slurry.
• Prepare white and colored enamel powders for the enameling areas.
• Operate a forklift.
• Wear a respirator and must be clean-shaven.
• Perform frequent bending and lifting (max 50 pounds).
• Climb stairs to get to various jobs in a 4-story building.
