About The Position

The Glass Inspector is responsible for checking glass products throughout the production process to make sure they meet quality standards and customer requirements. This includes identifying defects such as scratches, chips, cracks, bubbles, distortion, or other imperfections that could affect the finished product. The Glass Inspector works closely with the production team to address quality concerns, documents inspection results as needed, and helps ensure that only products meeting the required standards move forward in the production process. This position requires a strong eye for detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality and workplace safety.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in glass manufacturing, production, quality inspection, or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect glass products for scratches, chips, cracks, bubbles, distortion, and other visible defects.
  • Verify that glass meets required quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Identify and separate products that do not meet quality requirements.
  • Communicate quality concerns or recurring defects to production leads and supervisors.
  • Complete inspection records and other required quality documentation accurately.
  • Handle glass carefully and follow proper procedures to prevent damage or injury.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Work closely with production team members to help maintain consistent product quality.
  • Follow established inspection procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and quality operations.
