About The Position

Ensign Services, Inc. (“ESI”) is seeking a General Ledger Accountant who is interested in working part-time to support key accounting functions. This role involves reviewing expenses, posting journal entries, and preparing detailed monthly and quarterly P&L reports. The GL Accountant will also work closely with facility operators to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met. ESI is a subsidiary of The Ensign Group, Inc., a national leader in healthcare services, providing "back-office" support to its facilities and leaders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required.
2+ years of accounting and/or public accounting experience, required.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage and meet challenging deadlines while simultaneously prioritizing projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Complete expense reviews.
Post journal entries.
Prepare monthly and quarterly detailed P&L packages and partner with the operators of the respective assigned facilities
Ensure that deadlines and deliverables are met.
Monitor applicable SOX controls
Complete month-end internal controls.
Maintain accurate and organized records, paperwork, and documentation.
Analyze data and trends to improve benefits-related processes and recommend enhancements.
Partner with like-minded people as well as our front-line operators to ensure their financial success and provide them the ability to care for those in need.
