We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant in Endicott, NY to support the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This role is responsible for key accounting functions including month-end close activities, invoices, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The General Ledger Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements, while also supporting audits and contributing to ongoing process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and/or equivalent education with 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and manage frequent interruptions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of international accounting practices is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak Mandarin is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review and process supplier receipts and invoices.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Review and approve banking transactions.
  • Crosstrain on functions performed by other finance team members to provide backup support as needed.
  • Assist with annual audits and respond to auditor requests.
  • Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies, including incomplete or inconsistent data and missing source documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of schedules for monthly Operations Reports, annual Tax Packages, and semi-annual Hard Close activities.
  • Support special reporting and analysis requests from Corporate.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
