About The Position

This role focuses on engineering and operating GKE clusters, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable containerized environments. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to deliver solutions and maintain high standards of operation.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes primitives and cluster operations.
• Containerization expertise using Docker / OCI images.
• Experience with Ingress, Load Balancing, DNS, and TLS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and GitOps workflows.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with observability and monitoring in cloud-native environments.
• Experience with container image hardening and vulnerability management.
• Experience with secure secrets management and RBAC.
• Strong documentation and design skills.
• Ability to collaborate across platform, application, and security teams.
• Client-facing communication and delivery mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Google Cloud Professional certifications (Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with service mesh (Istio / Gateway API).
• SRE or Platform Engineering background.
• Experience supporting regulated or enterprise environments.
• Experience with hardened base images (Chainguard preferred).

Responsibilities
