About The Position

HDR is seeking a GIS Technician to support its work across service lines including water, architecture, building engineering services, field services, power, waste, industrial, and transportation. The role conducts spatial analysis and map preparation, edits spatial and tabular data, and supports field data collection. Requirements

• Associate degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science, or a closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Practical experience with editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Apps.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work with a team.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science, or a closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct spatial analyses and prepare maps using ArcGIS.
• Input and edit spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Support field data collection using mobile GIS/GPS equipment.
• Follow documented technical procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.
