About The Position

A Day in the Life of a GIS Specialist Here's a snapshot of what you would do in this role: Collect and edit geospatial data from field surveys, as-builts, and other sources Create basic maps and visualizations using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online Assist in maintaining GIS databases and metadata Support GIS Analysts and Professionals with data preparation and QA/QC tasks Perform routine GIS tasks and follow established workflows and standards Stay current with GIS tools and techniques relevant to the role Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Basic proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
Familiarity with GPS data collection and mobile GIS apps like Field Maps
Understanding of spatial data formats and coordinate systems
Experience with Microsoft Excel and data entry tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
Eagerness to learn and take direction
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, IT, or related field, or Associate's degree +2 years of relevant experience
0-5 years of experience in GIS or related field

Nice To Haves

Experience with Survey123 or GPS data collection tools preferred
Familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred
